this is actually the second content page of the magazine because it says 'the B-side'. The first one would be 'the A-side'. XXL considers themselves to be a very unique  magazine because they claim to be 'above the trend' so they transition by saying that the contents are a 'side'. Its also sounds very casual, makes it look like the magazine is your friend. The Masthead is still on the right of the magazine to remind the readers that it is still
XXL magazine that we are still reading incase we forgot.

This content page is divided into 3 columns. But two pictures already took up 2 columns because these two pictures are what the magazine wants you to be interested in. The first image is Masika Kalysha, I never heard of her but she was the first thing i saw when i saw the content page. So what the content page is doing worked. Eye candy means a image that is superficially attractive so in the magazine the reader can get an insight on the beauty. She is in lingerie lying down to show her "nasty" side.
The other picture is a rapper name Maino, he claims to be the king of Brooklyn. He poses like he is praying. The background is black and he is wearing a white tank top to make him the spot light of the picture.
The last column are two small pictures are small because they are not suppose to be the main focus of this magazine. One is of an artist that wears white in a blue backgroud. White represents class and 'swag'. The other is a picture of Beastie boys, it is in black and white because the band was formed in 1981 which is a long time representing the classics.
This magazine are mostly for late teens and adults because as we can see in the layout that it more of a formal kind of layout. And there are some of the artist that i and maybe some other teens might not know.
