contents page

this is the contents page that ive decided to go with. i think its better if i didnt cut the main character of the photo because it shows the whole environment. the ball was purposely placed on the middle of the letter D so that it shows that the letter is the hoop. i also positioned the text on the left so it doesn't completely overlap the main character. i've also put a white transparent box around it so it becomes easier to see.

Double Page Spread

This is my double page spread. i chose it in an 'old english text' font to show the teams class and the legacy of team. i chose this image because it represents the multi-nationality of the school, and they way they are standing shows each of different personality which is very unique and gives each of the players a unique trait. The article i wrote about was when i interviewed one of our coaches and asked him what does the picture reminded him of. He told me his story of his favorite moments in the teams basketball play. The title doesn't overlap the players head because i don't want anything to cover the player's posture as the way he is standing suggests he is very focused.

This is my contents page. The main image is positioned in a way that it makes him look like he is looking at the title. The numbers are the same fonts as the title and it is red so it could stand out of the page, and it is in the color of traill's rival, asb. So this image represents my player holding a basketball while being surround by his opponent. The page where it is about the player is beside him to show his importance.

The one

i have added some colors to make it have a sense of liveliness in it. The blue is suppose to go with the colors of his jersey. The main image has a glowing that blends in with the background that makes it look likes he is the light in the dark tunnel. The way he holds the ball is like he has the world in his hands. The Blue represents Traill and ASB is red because that is the color of their jersey. 'Rival Continues' that is like the red and blue keeps going back and forth suggesting their rivalry. I've also made some changes on the fonts where 'Return' is cursive like it is written for the king suggesting Marc Iguban is the king. #thecomeback

so i finished my magazine cover after a few attempts. i have decided to make the outer glow blend with the background. it is like he is coming out from the darkness and a light is shining on him as it says below his name that he is the future of the school. i made the colour black and white to make it have a classy look also put some 3d effects on it to make it pretty. the quote at the bottom is suppose to be related to the picture because the baseketball is suppose to represent a globe and his hands is controlling it. I told you i'll be back stronger. #thecomeback

On the holidays i have had an incident with my computer. it took me a few weeks to get it fixed. now i'm back on the grind. i have decided to make a completely new cover with the help of blue screen that has already been removed in this picture. i should finish this cover soon. #thecomeback

 day 18: i have researched on how to highlight texts and apparently it turned out pretty good. so this is my second draft of my contents page. yesterday was a struggle on how to get the texts to been seen through the various colours of the background.
