Sports Illustrated is an American sports media franchise owned by Time Inc. Its self-titled magazine has over 3 million subscribers and is read by 23 million people each week, including over 18 million men. It was the first magazine with circulation over one million to win the National Magazine Award for General Excellence twice. Its swimsuit issue, which has been published since 1964, is now an annual publishing event that generates its own television shows, videos and calendars.

The age group they target would be all around because people of all age enjoy sports and they would want to be updated on their favorite team. This would be a target for mostly male audiences since it also has a swimsuit edition where half naked girls in bikini are featured. People who read this magazine would obviously be into sports. A description of a person who reads these type of magazine would often wear jerseys of the sport that they like, also a hat of the team. Gather up with friends on the weekend to watch a game and probably is pretty competitive.
